I've been working on that. I don't talk about it a lot here, because it hasn't gotten me in a lot of trouble yet, but I get very angry while driving, because people just drive so selfishly these days. Cutting me off, passing me on the right, honking their horn if I take 1/8 of a second to notice the light turns green, and generally just being in a hurry.
So the self talk I've been working on with people like that is to imagine that person has a severe case of ԁіаrrheа and needs to get home. It doesn't always work, but I'm trying to consistently use it.

@LordShadowfire I pretend there is a baby in my car or theirs.

@SinlessOnslaught That's a good one. I can visualize that, because there was an episode of Dexter where he lost control and chased down a car that cut him off and almost ran him off the road, and when he finally confronted the driver, he saw that his kids were in the back seat.

@LordShadowfire I may watch that.

@SinlessOnslaught I thought it was quite good, but you have to have a high tolerance for death. You know the basic premise, right? He's a serial killer who channels his urges by targeting other bad guys.

@LordShadowfire If they're really bad people then I could watch.

@SinlessOnslaught Yeah, basically, his dad was a cop, if I remember correctly. He taught him to only go after people who deserve it, because he knew Dexter would have this tendency, so he works with the Miami-Dade Police Department as a blood splatter analysis by day, and goes after serial killers at night.
