Ok....my Dr is officially cool

She's all on board for me going on long fasts.
She's given me some pointers, told me what to watch for and has warned me that ive gotta prolly spend at least half the length of the fast slowly getting into eating again.

Warned me that my body could easily gain back any weight lost if i do it too quickly.

Also gave me a form to get full bloods done...yay.

But my body is a flipping monlith.
I just fasted for 4 days and didnt lose a cracker ! .... .

.....i need to be stranded on a bloody desert island at this rate!

good for you. I'mma start mixing my own electrolytes. it has to be better than Gatorade.
@StygianKohlrabi i think the four basic ingredients in a good electrolyte is sodium, potasium, magnesium and calcium.

Gatorade only has the first two ....so it should be easy with a bit of sweetner and prolly some citric acid. You can buy bags/bottles of potassium citrate off the net

You could even use a low cal cordial 🤷‍♀

@OogieBoogie I have some potassium and magnesium in my shopping cart already. been putting sea salt in my workout drink too.
@StygianKohlrabi brilliant.
Easy peasy 💪

@OogieBoogie I had to look that up because I thought you were telling me to drink alcohol haha.

A cordial is a type of drink with two distinct regional definitions: in the United States, it is a sweetened, flavored distilled spirit, synonymous with a liqueur; in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth countries, it is a non-alcoholic, concentrated fruit syrup that is diluted with water before drinking.
@StygianKohlrabi hahaha....well...at least you'd be relaxed working out,😆

I actually didn't know that either 🤷‍♀
