Any of u help take care of the elderly

I kind of got a question. My neighbor she fell down a few day's ago. Her husband called the ambulance and they took her to the hospital. I know she has some health problems. Her kidneys and heart are not doing to good at all. Also she doesn't get around good because of her hips and she can't get surgery to fix that. She really wants to go home.

I think they want her to go into a home close to her daughter. She does have home care for like 12 hours a week or something like that. I'm just kind of curious what is legal. Her nurse doesn't want her to go home. Because there isn't someone with her 24/7 what if something would happen with her. Would they just put her into a home against what she wants.

People find comfort in being in their own surroundings, especially the elderly. It benefits them emotionally and mentally in being in their home. Even seriously ill people would prefer to pass away in their own home. It's her decision in the end and I can understand her stance on this as I care for my father at home and you would never get him out of it for love or money and in a way it is understandable, to be home and not with strangers for the rest of his days. No one can force her to go into a home, not while she is mentally capable. In the 'old days' it was the family who used to take care of their parents and grandparents but these days they either have no time to or do not have the inclination. Homes can make people feel like they have lost everything they have, and not everyone can cope with being surrounded by strangers every day.
