Panty peek at dermatologist?!

I had a full body skin check appointment today. And I typically shave my legs right before. Well at the end of the exam, she says "Can you take down your underwear, I remember in the past you had a skin issue there and I just want to recheck ". Oh mannn I had not done a full on tidy down there, and I was freaking out! It's still fine and it's tidy but not what I fully wanted. She typically doesn't check down there!! I was VERY glad when that appointment was over! I know they see it all, but it's still awkwardddddd!!! Have you ever wanted to BOLT from an appointment?

A friend who is a retired senior medical lecture told me an unexpected difference between men and women over self-examinations for suspicious lumps, bumps and moles.

Despite their bravado among themselves about body parts and certain functions, men are much more coy than women about inspecting their own bodies for signs of trouble.

My friend explained that although women generally have no qualms about for example breast-lump examinations, men tended to have been brought up to believe that "touching themselves down there" is somehow "dirty", and extend that to self-examination for scrotum-lump detecting.

Perhaps the crude bravado is to hide that fear.
