How long does it take to get comfortable using prescribed glasses so I don’t feel drowsy or have headaches?

I made a mistake of getting a pair of glasses with the frames that were wider than the older ones and narrower from top to bottom. I got nauseated walking down the hallways where I worked. The carpets were variegated in one color. Every day I wore those new glasses I felt like I was coming down with the flu and had to stop wearing them. I wore my old glasses again and felt fine at work.
