I didn’t get any pain medication afterward, which sucked. But starting the next day the pain was manageable.
Walking for short distances around the house helped, especially if I had shoulder pain. Holding a pillow against my stomach helped while walking or getting up.
Take fiber supplements. I think I went back to work after 10 days.
All of my incisions but one healed very quickly and easily. One of my incisions took 3 months to heal

@itsok flax-meal is a really good thing to help with preventing gall stones….especially golden flax meal.

Stayed in overnight but that was more due to my reaction to the anaesthetic.

Pain relief via typical pain relief, for personal reasons I avoid opiates so i used ibuprofen.

First night at home was uncomfortable had to sleep sat up. Was up and about day after just short walks. Was back at work within a week.

Did go to wound clinic as one by my navel took longest to heal but no problem really

No but one of my ex had it ,
Gallbladder stone is one of the most painful conditions, even morphine didnt help her , we had to take her to the emergency she was operated on the following day and she was
Out and about a few hours after , for what I understand it’s a very easy and almoat risk free procedure
@Julien Dilauded put me into outer space on only two units through my iv when I had my first serious attack in december 2001, a nice warm euphoric feeling, but I could still feel it, but I didn't care.

Had my gall bladder out 30 years ago. Took time to eat again. Had some breaded chicken nuggets about a week out. The pain was horrible. Start slow.
Lately in the last 2 weeks I have had issues again with digestion. My body is acting like I had my gall bladder out a few days ago. Not sure what is going on inside of me, its annoying.

I have dealt with many patients wmho had the procedure.
Worst was the woman who ended up in ER several hours after discharge.
She was given instructions to. Ot eat certain foods.
She stopped at White Castle on her way home.
No one told her she should not eat White Castle
@Patriot96 Her own fault, I had to be very careful what I ate my first couple of months, my first real meal was at a restaurant after a funeral, big mistake, I learned really fast just how powerful liver bile is to the intestinal tract, biological industrial strength liquid plummer, and just how quickly it can come on.

@NativePortlander1970 yes, nothing to mess with

Follow the lifting restriction or you'll likely end up with a hernia repair later. Advice based on the experiences of two friends who didn't.

It went quite smooth. I had the procedure on a Friday and spent the rest of the day and Saturday just taking it easy. By Sunday I was pretty much feeling back up to my normal routine.

It didnt bother me at all. Just a bit of pain that Tylenol helped. I took it easy that day and the next.
Yes but I had some complications. The surgery itself was over fairly fast though.

Did they discuss using sound frequency to break up the gallstones so they would pass?
@cherokeepatti Sometimes, like in my case, the gall bladder is too diseased from chronic attacks that removal of it is the only option. I was told mine was so black and shriveled that it would have burst withun two weeks if I had not opted for removal.

@NativePortlander1970 yeah Ray’s cousin had a gall bladder like that and had to have it removed.
March 2002, over 23.5 years of digestive hell.
@NativePortlander1970 Sorry to hear that. Care to share what happened ?
@Underconstruction Not really, it's too embarrassing
@Underconstruction Let's just say the bile the liver produces to induce digestion in the stomach is like biological liquid plumber, better find a restroom, fast, and invest in baby wipes and sandwich baggies to put used ones in as you cannot flush them, I found that out the hard way.
