Ok. Thank you to all who follow this little medical adventure of mine. I truly appreciate you and your well wishes.
I just had the Pre-Op visit with my PCP and everything is copacetic. 🫡

I had mone out in my 20's. Yeah you should have had an ultrasound when it started.
Be very careful what you eat after you get your gall bladder out. Fatty food will make you sick sick sick. It takes your body a while to adjust.

@Confined Yeah I'm aware, how it CAN mess with your digestion. Now I'll see how it WILL mess with my digestion.
Also I left alot out. I went to the Urgent Care 3 times in that time frame. 1st time- I got the first ultrasound, no indication of abnormal gallbladder. (But, there's a impression of gallbladder inflammation and sludge) I'm told go low-fat diet to reduce the swelling and inflammation.
2nd time- CT Scan and bloodwork. Scan comes back unremarkable (so normal gallbladder?) and labs show spiked up liver readings. (Wtf is going on?) I see my regular doctor. She refers me to the GI Specialist.
Before that appointment happened. On another night I wake up in serious unrelenting pain. I drive 25 minutes to the closest ER (UC). I get something for the pain and they finally send me home with painkillers, other than telling me to take acid reducers and Ibuprofen every 4-6 hours.
I saw the GI and he basically said "ok well everything you've said and everything I looked over, shows there's something definitely hiding behind all these scans and bloodwork." I didn't say it, but you probably know what I was thinking.
He orders another ultrasound and the Hida scan. I go back to the clinic were I got the first US, and they do another one, but this time it takes them 30-35 minutes instead of 8-10 minutes.
I never had to go to the Hida scan. They found so many things wrong that, weren't the impression. It was factual now. ::sigh::

A Cholecystectomy! Instant relief is on the way. My bestie got sick one day...and told me she had been having pain. They got her in pretty quick. It's a laparoscopic procedure now. Good luck!

Happened to my mom, and most recently to my niece (sister's daughter). Get well soon.

Damn. I went through that in summer 2022. No fun. Can't imagine waiting that long. I think it was 3 days from being in the ER with what I thought was food poisoning till I had it removed. I think I was in hospital for a couple days longer because i has just gotten out of the hospital a month before that for other stuff.
Good luck.
Good luck.

AFTER you have your gall bladder removed, (as I did), you will not be able to drink alcohol without very bad results. The same with fatty or fried foods. The fun is OVER.

@cherokeepatti So what does all of this do for people?
Levenrack · 46-50, M
@Musicman I don't know if this is along the same lines @cherokeepatti is pointing out.
But I have hypertension, so one thing among meds, I take are Nitric Oxide supplements (in place of beets) for energy and lowers blood pressure. In turn, it helps me stay away from caffeine, which increases blood pressure.
