My blood sugars went down to 75, it is considered normal, but boy it did not feel like it.

I had to hold myself back and eat my lunch without panicking, because I felt ill .
I just sat for an hour, and it went up to 90.
I didn't overcompensate with carbs, which I have done in the past.
The good news is that when they are that low, I can skip meal insulin, and I did.

I make sure to always carry some of those tablets just in case. Gor some in the glove box in the car, and in my gym bag. Also in my lunch box right next to my Powerade if my electrolytes feel down as well. Always be prepared, like when in the cub scouts!

I always feel like crap when it's below 80 regardless of what they say is preferred.

@Gibbon I set my low to 75 they don't count it as low ,but I want to know if it's a long time to a meal, I eat a snack.

@Justmeraeagain I just set my Bolo to get my fasting number over night and don't get too concerned with my day time spikes

I don’t feel lows anymore until it’s around 3.1 or 56 .
Alexondra · 46-50, F
@PatKirby no it’s my blood sugar level when low . It’s just the way it’s measured in the uk . 3.1 is 56 in the other measurement . My current AC1 is 6.1

@Alexondra

Ok. Went in for my A1C bloodwork this past Friday after my lab work 6 mos ago and finally got it down from 6.2 to 5.4. Yeah feels funny when my sugar level goes down to 72 on the days when I fast all day.

@PatKirby no matter what I do I have never got it below 6 . I’ve always had bad dawn phenomenon which has always been a factor . But it is what it is . I’ve always kept it below 6.5 so not to bad

I get it ...it's weird my blood sugars will be what is considered normal and I will feel weird abd shakey still ...it could be a false reading on a dexcom...sometimes it takes time for it to register and they aren't always accurate
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@SW-User it was real high this morning and I knew that wasn't right so, I did a finger stick and if wasn't
Rutterman · 46-50, M
75 sounds a little low, particularly for someone with diabetes. If you felt ill when it reached that level, I think your body is sending you a message that it's too low for you. In any case, I'm not a health care provider. Just offering my non-expert opinion about this.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Rutterman I was just about to eat lunch so ,if I would have stuffed my face with sugar then it would have gone extremely high.
I do have glucose tablets for in between meals if it goes too low which I think 75 is too low, but my doctors tell me it's not
