Yes. From my notes on this condition...
Testimony from Mayo Clinic site:
I have small fiber neuropathy (SFN) confirmed via the gold standard of skin punch biopsy of thigh and ankle. My first symptoms were burning and pins and needles in the bottoms of my feet and then on my left calf. I learned doing research about supplements that help SFN and started taking acetyl l carnitine, alpha Lipoic acid, magnesium and noticed an improvement in symptoms after a month or two. I was also iron deficient at the time and took special iron supplements that are better absorbed and not upsetting to the stomach.
My current combined alpha Lipoic acid and Acetyl l carnitine supplement has 525 mg ALC and 225 mg ALA. you can take more ALA (up to 600 mg) which I did when my symptoms were bad. My current magnesium complex has 500 mg in it.
My neurologist didn’t help treat my SFN and only recommended medication that causes major side effects and when I told him about the supplements I was taking, he said that he haeard they helped some. Why didn’t he mention them to me as an alternative if it could help?

@LadyGrace That's what my sister wonders..why don't these doctors mention ACTUAL treatment?? They mostly say a few lines and leave quickly. My sister saw a neurologist recently at a top city hospital. When she mentioned all her awful conditions in her feet from neuropathy she just nodded and offered ONE idea only, some vitamin. She said it fast and walked out. Like are you KIDDING??? We drove in with her having awful debilitating symptoms at only 36 years old and you say nothing????? It was appalling to me. So I feel your concern.
Did ALA OR Carnitine lower your sugar ? That's what she's wary of. While she's want that because it could help reverse even a tiny part of neuropathy, she is fearful of it going too low too fast. Unfortunately her labile case does this with even small amounts of insulin 😢

I would really advise against seeking advice on prescription medicine on an anonymous forum. One there is so many variables, what helps one may not help another even with the same conditions. Then there are nefarious bad actors who may try to take advantage
I understand the want, and there is something to anecdotal stories when honest, I'd want but the amount of misunderstood information will leave you without any conclusion anyway.

Sounds like a great treatment protocol. I use Berberine Ceylon Cinnamon

@Coralmist No, Not to the point of discomfort that requires major intervention. I am using the Berberine to keep blood sugar levels low, you take it with your meals. If I take it late in the evening my blood surebwill be way below 100 in the morning. It will help with the neuropathy. I also hear Nuereva works well too

I have read that it takes a certain type of it to do the trick. Haven’t used it for that.

I have to use it for different reasons but there is plenty of info available on it.
