Any type 2 diabetics here using a continuous glucose monitor ?

I just got mine yesterday, and so far I’m loving it! Big game changer for me.

I am glad for you. What do your numbers look like?

@Musicman this morning they were great, but sometimes it spikes for no apparent reason.

@RockerDad Are you taking anything for your blood sugar?
RockerDad · M
@Musicman I’ve been on Metformin for a while, which hasn’t been cutting it, so added insulin last week, which seems to be helping a lot

@RockerDad Metformin didn't help me either. My A1-C number actually went up. So my doctor prescribed Ozempic. That did the trick.

@RockerDad My sister is type 1, but hers also can spike for literally no true reason. Other diabetics have told her that as well. Like one of our friends who is type 1 said hers will rise 80 points just upon waking and getting up. :( And my sister's sugar will rise 80 points if she takes a warm shower. So weird.

@Musicman they still have me on Metformin for now as well as the insulin, which I take once a day .

@RockerDad Same here. I still take the Metformin along with the Ozempic.

@Musicman I have been taking them around the same time, which I think is a mistake. I take insulin around 5 pm, at Metformin around 9pm. The problem is my sugars spike mostly during the day, so I’m planning to take metformin in the morning, and insulin in the evening from now on.

@RockerDad Go for it. You know your body best. Your numbers don't lie. See what happens.

@Musicman I think the insulin is wearing off some during the day. Do you have a problem with the signal dropping out on your phone often ?
