Typically it's presents as weight loss, or excess thirst. You can have your doctor check your fasting blood sugar, and if it's 70-120..it's normal.

Your doctor would run tests on you

You would feel things like excessive thirst, increased frequency in urination, slow healing wounds, skin dryness, feeling faint or dizzy when hungry

Fatigue/weakness
Blurry vision
