Did they change the name from corona to Covid-19

Just to try to save the beer company ?
DrWatson · 70-79, M
COVID is an abbreviation for COrona VIrus Disease.

I'm not sure whether that counts as a name change. But I can imagine the change was influenced by sensitivity to the beer company, even though "corona" simply means "crown".

Reminds me of when the name "swine flu" got changed!
@DrWatson That WAS to save people's asses, specifically pig farmers.
why are they all patented?..

Covid-19 sounds edgier, kind of like a band name or something.

Or maybe to save this

No, it was always both. You see, a coronavirus is technically part of a family that includes the common cold. The official name of this particular coronavirus is SARS-COV 19, or COVID-19.

That is pretty funny, though.
