My family doesn’t believe I’m sick.

I told them I may not be able to come because I got a cold. I felt horrible earlier this morning because I threw up a bit, bad cough and feeling tired. My brother was like, “Girl what the hell have you been eating? Anyways that covid thing isn’t a joke.”
And I agreed. My uncle was like, “You have a cold? You were feeling just fine yesterday when I talked to you on the phone. How are you sick? I think you’re just saying that to get out of it. You’re going to stay home over a little cold? Get over it. Get your ass up and get your day started. You’re not a little kid anymore.”
I work with kids so I must of caught it from them. A couple of them were sick and I got it. I feel a bit okay. No coughing right now, but it’s best if I stayed home today. I know the even doesn’t start until 2pm.
They don’t care about me like they did when I was a child. One of my cousins said, “Take medicine. You’re an adult now. Figure it out. It will go away. We expect you to be ready by 1pm. You don’t sound that sick.”
My temperature is 97.6. I have no fever but my head still felt warm earlier.

@LaylaTheTallGirl sorry too here you are unwell and yes working with kids does bring that danger they will it pass on to you .if you are unwell you think of number one and stay at home and keep warm. if you went then you could potentially spread it too other family members 🤷‍♂️it is just a lose lose for you on both accounts
