How Did Your Behavior and Thoughts Change During the Pandemic?

I became more social once places reopened. After I caught COVID and completed my quarantine, I began using the wet wipes at grocery stores to wipe the shopping cart and I wear my face mask whenever I walk at the beach, use an ATM, step outside my home to retrieve mail or packages, or place myself in other situations where face masks aren't required. I was double vaccinated and boosted as soon as it was my turn. I thought I was immune or asymptomatic for more than two years that I didn't catch COVID. I'm trying my best to not get sick with it a second time, but it's a fifty-fifty chance of being reinfected. I don't like getting sick.

I don't think my behavior changed all that much. My disdain for government has risen exponentially though. That and disdain for the clueless that push useless but extremely dangerous vaxes. I have known too many people killed by the vax to let it slide anymore.

@ElwoodBlues Did you bother checking?
Of course not facts are for others. You remain a fact free zone.
@hippyjoe1955 @hippyjoe1955 You are the proven liar. Here's a recent dippyjoe lie from the collection:

And yet, one can look up lists of all the wind farms in every Canadian province, and Big Oil owns NONE of them. I checked - you lied.

Did you bother checking?
Yes I did. It's pretty easy to scroll down the lists. And if I didn't check, then you could EASILY prove me wrong by naming the wind farm. But you won't do that, will you? You lie at the drop of a hat, then spend hours deflecting and denying. SAD!!!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues your lack of knowledge proves only your ignorance and nothing more.
Elessar · 26-30, M
I acknowledge that nearly as many as half the world population are completely brainf*cked ever since, and there's virtually zero chances we'll be able to tacke impending global issues before said issues can no longer be ignored and will hit us with full force instead.

Fun, huh?
CassandraSissy · 26-30, T
Hmmmmm....a bit more isolated from everyone as I worked from home. Shopping was interesting.....I got very annoyed at the arseholes that block bought pasta and toilet rolls - just...why would they do that?!?

Not sure if I was worried about crowds.....just found - and still do - everything too noisy!

But I did love listening to nature more...

☺️

Tell you what though, I was more concerned afterwards....I was worried that I was not putting the effort in in terms of 'presenting' myself, being trans, and quite concerned if I still passed, if that makes sense.....it's easy enough to just go through the motions etc..

🤔
@CassandraSissy i bought alot of canned food and toilet paper. but i was giving away half of the toilet paper. so is that okay then?
CassandraSissy · 26-30, T
@DIABLISS Oh, I'll let you off, sweetie, for doing that....

😘

Well my social behavior changed - for one thing I stopped doing the puff puff pass thing when I smoked weed with friends. And I stopped shaking hands and started doing the fist bump thing and I also did the social distance thing. I guess one of the ways my thoughts changed was going from big baby thoughts to grown up thoughts. When I got my first covid shot it was the first shot I got since the school shots they give in grade school and I only got them because my mommy made me. But with the covid I figured I had better man up to help protect the loved ones in my life. Cheers!
My distrust for government and authority only grew
@joahola98wj i didn't think that Covid was fake but i realized how stupidly our government behaves in a crisis. All that mattered was what other people thought. Screw that! they were supposed to make difficult decisions that we as the public cannot make
joahola98wj · 31-35, F
@DIABLISS I never thought that COVID was fake either. Are you talking about opinions from other countries? Difficult decisions such as lockdown and mandates?
@joahola98wj we could have kept the country going if we cut ourselves off from all other countries and suggest to them that they do the same.
rrraksamam · 31-35, M
Not much. I was an introvert before, and I'm an introvert now.
Avoiding horrible people and crowded places is one perk of it.
@rrraksamam Me too? i guess it was alittle easier on us...i really didn't mind the isolation and this way, no one was coming door to door to sell me stuff or ideas any more
chrisCA · M
I was always a generous tipper, but became more so after businesses opened up again.
It also showed me how uneducated, and self centered some people really are.
SW-User
@chrisCA from how they tipped? I get it expresses gratuity.
chrisCA · M
@SW-User Sorry. I made two separate points.
The second one was about people in general.
SW-User
@chrisCA Given. I understand, maybe I long for an age where it's no longer a question (covid) and I'm also a little tired of it as a reference point anywhere. :)
carpediem · 61-69, M
Absolutely. I avoid large crowds. I despise people who divide over vaccine choice. They’re the worst kind of people and idiots to boot.

I was always a good tipper. Now I’m an over-tipper.
CarliG · 22-25, F
As someone who is chronically ill, I inside as much ss I could. I'm fully vaxxed and boostered and have managed to stay about as healthy as I can
No to crowded public transport
Yes to cooking
Yes to minding my business only
Confined · 56-60, M
I continued to live my life exactly the same. I only wore a mask when made to. I know masks cause more problems then they solve and I found it really hard to breath after a while.
I work where there is really high EMF. I think in same cases it made people more sick. Lots of conveyers and machinery.
Our metal detectors now pick up the steel rod in my leg.
Fairydust · F
I healed through it, so things got better for me.
SW-User
Get better, no one likes getting sick, I've let up some practices to let in normal life. I can't say I'm immune, or anything, other than after almost years now I never get sick and the vaccines I took made me ill. Becomes a little disconcerting cause it kept me home from work when otherwise I would have been there.

I hope you get well.
spjennifer · 61-69, T
I was a fairly isolated introvert before the pandemic and am even more so now, not anti-social, I just don't like most people or large groups, specially the ones who've put others lives at risk by not adhering to the more sane recommendations.
Ingwe · F
I'm not very social so I coped very well
I didn't get the covid shot
I still wear and mask and sanitize
it is winter down here so maybe I'll toss the mask as soon as the hot weather arrive
Majorsite · 61-69, M
Not one single bit, Only closed bars were an inconvenience !
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
I realized I don’t need people.

Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
I wasn’t really affected
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
I am trying not to get covid because I am immunocompromised. My whole life has changed.

You are doing well to not to get it again. The more you get it the more immunocompromised your body becomes.

@DIABLISS Yet you are the one defending the government and the evils it has been up to. Yes the NIH (Fauci) has been sponsoring bioweapons research all over the world. One of those weapons got loose and caused covid. The government then came up with their other bioweapon the vax. So far the vax will be shown to be much more deadly than the virus but it is still early in that game.
@hippyjoe1955 i am defending what is right...not the government itself. you are just making up crap, because you are insane
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@DIABLISS Nothing I have posted about Fauci or the US funding bioweapons is 'made up' It is factual. Not sure why you want to deny the obvious but you do you.
