It's Getting Ridiculous

I don't know what happened yesterday. My phlegm issue got so bad the whole night was a huge mess. No matter which side I tried to sleep on I kept coughing till everything started to hurt specifically my stomach. I didn't feel calmer till 7 am or so after I woke up wanting to throw up but I couldn't.
I don't know what the hell is wrong with me, this was the worst night ever in years.
I think eating take away yesterday for the first time in 3 weeks was a bad idea but I also feel that my phlegm medication only made things worse.
I guess this problem is staying for a while. I have to be really careful with what I eat or drink and when to do so.

sounds like we both had a crappy night's sleep. are you allergic to takeout/away? the feeling of not being able to clear your throat is hard to ignore and especially when trying to fall asleep. and the coughing reflex is hard to beat. i'm sorry you woke up to nausea. to me that's worse than pain.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether ah, so covid left you vulnerable. i'm so sorry you have to deal with that. hope your tummy is starting to settle down by now.
@SW-User My tummy is feeling better. I managed to get up for 3 hours or so and now I'm lying down again and phlegm didn't build up in my chest which is good. It usually builds up as I'm up during the day. I only had a yughurt and juice. I think I'll have a light lunch also.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether good. that's very good to hear that your tummy is chilling out, that you were able to eat something, and that your congestion didn't build while you were up. i'm doing light foods only today, too. just gonna try to be good to myself until i feel better, ya know?
Are you lying flat in your bed??? Try to get the head of your bed up so that you sleep in a more vertical position rather than lying flat.

It should stop the gunk from exiting your lungs and drowning you as you sleep.
@HootyTheNightOwl Usually when I'm sitting or in an upright position nothing exits my lungs. When I lie down things start clearing up. But yesterday everything was X 4 than it normally is.
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether That's the idea... while you have gunk on your chest, don't lie flat when you sleep because you could drown.
have soup, and hot water with honey :( or just hot water or heated chicken broth. sorry you are suffering, get well soon!! 💐💚🍵
Drink plenty if fluids

Try sleeping upright
