So much of what they have told us has been modified or overturned. Who knows what to believe? Like one radio talk show host said, "Men, who think they are women, telling us to follow the science."

Science marches on. The SARS-CoV-2 virus was a new pathogen, and so we all saw "the sausage being made" because of its impact on public health around the world.
The same thing has happened in lots of other areas, it's just that you don't know it happens. Low-dimensionality/-energy spaces have been accessed, cosmology is moving, the Higgs mass is intriguing, etc., etc., etc.

The Fauci thing depends upon what he exactly said. If he hazarded a guess at what vaccination level would give herd immunity,and it didn't, people make informed guesses all the time, which isn't a lie. [Nor is it a SWAG.] I can look into that...
