The effectiveness of those things waned because people got so sick of them.

Here in Oz the so-called 3rd-wave of Omicron combined with traditional 'winter flu' seems to be re-firing the fear mantra in the community but there's also now talk of a 4th vax jab (basically 1 every 3 months).
