@dancingtongue Reuters is famous for using staged photo shoots while covering the middle east conflicts. They have the same guy in most of their films and he wears a green helmet. They had one shot of a bunch of dead bodies in body bags. Then one of the bodies had an itchy nose and had to scratch it.
@hippyjoe1955 Amazing how unlucky one guy can be. There was also a woman who had her house struck by missles multiple times, sometimes just weeks apart.
@dancingtongue And that shows that once they get caught lying they will throw the reporter/photographer under the bus. Doesn't mean they won't still put out false information.
@hippyjoe1955 Is there any fact-checker that conspiracy theorists haven't discredited? BTW, Snopes "discrediting" had nothing to do with the validity of the conclusions they printed. The co-founder of Snopes was caught taking short-cuts, plagiarizing from other fact-checking sites rather than doing the research himself. Rightfully suspended and criticized, but didn't change the fact changing results.
@dancingtongue The very idea of a fact checker is a give away. If you are aware of the details you don't need a fact checker. If you don't know the details belief in a fact checker is naive at best and extremely foolish at worst. Even Facebook now says that its 'fact checks' are just opinions.
@hippyjoe1955 And we should all start from scratch and go through laborious searches of the basic facts? Should we through out encyclopedias and search engines as well, and do it by hand with only original documents? Anything to avoid the possibility of having what we believe challenged?
@dancingtongue If it is important to you yes. If it is not important then just gloss over it and move on. There is lots of trivia that won't raise the creek.

We don't have any choice but to so. The media is discredited. Facebook and Twatter 'fact checkers' are simply opinionated employees. We don't have reliable sources - other than Fox News The Federalist and a few others - which are quite reliable.
