Also, it isn't necessarily obvious, imo. China's reaction would be exactly the same no matter if they have anything to do with the virus origin, because they want to cover their ass and not admit they sucked greatly at detecting it at first and halting the spread before it was too late. They hygienic conditions of those wet markets are (still) precarious and another pandemic is soon or later going to start from those, no matter if virology labs are involved or not.

@Bettzsyy no Trump handled it particularly poorly - they were very slow on measures and they had time to prepare -don't you remember it was a strange confused response: it's not real, it'll go away like a miracle, a democratic hoax, a bad cold, a plague, ps.
