I'm still in awe at how intelligent this virus is. Can't catch it when looting and rioting, nor at a funeral of a democrat but church and work is off limits.

This will be disagreeable to many, but those that believe should realize that you won't die before your time. If you want to go to church, then go. Wear a mask if you want, but why all the BS for church and nowhere else?

I already had it, and I don't attend church, so I don't really care either way, but I have wondered.🤔

@UnderLockDown Supplemental oxygen?
@purplepen Albuterol, to expand the bronchioles, but no oxygen.

@UnderLockDown That's great. I got those for asthma, months after having 3 bouts of nasty flu before the pandemic was supposed to be here.

I miss going. My church is just now starting morning service again and evening at the park pavilion. They have been doing service on Facebook but I don’t do Facebook.
purplepen · 51-55, F
@gregloa I miss going too. The one I had started going to is still closed.

Not sure why “no drinking of coffee or tea” is an item since covid is a respiratory disease.
purplepen · 51-55, F
@Pfuzylogic You have to move your mask, or make a hole in it, to eat or drink anything. This is a very law abiding congregation.

@purplepen
Okay, I see you have imposed a very strict culture on this “church”!
Couldn’t this be any social group the way you are structuring this? Why a church?
purplepen · 51-55, F
@Pfuzylogic The conditions I described are written on the door of the only local church near me that has opened. They are based on government restrictions.

@missbeez That might work if everyone has cars.
No. Since when does God require certain architecture?
purplepen · 51-55, F
@canusernamebemyusername He doesn't. Religious and social tradition often involve it.
@purplepen I agree with that.

Virtual church
purplepen · 51-55, F
@Broadleafplantains Probably a better option. At least you can talk and sing and drink coffee and talk online afterwards.

Any time is ok.

Am I allowed to ask questions concerning the sanctity of the grape juice? 😏
purplepen · 51-55, F
@MougyWolf Only outside the church building. Covid forbid any talking inside, due to possible Corona spread.
MougyWolf · 36-40, M
@purplepen no thanks, still knot interested
purplepen · 51-55, F
@MougyWolf I wouldn't under current conditions.

Bible says to pray in private. Church is about community. Not really getting anything out of it with those restrictions. The reason the church wants you there is for the collection plate. If you value your church but find it not worth going under these circumstances, you can probably still tithe to keep them afloat until time to return.
