When I showed symptoms a few months ago I wasn't even allowed to get a test!😂 good luck👏

Since you didn't get any reply then I guess you're fine I don't think they'd just leave a sick person oblivious to it if they have covid

@BlueHorizon I don't know about the US in general but I know one person who waited ten days for a positive result and it was another day until the state health department contacted her.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@BlueHorizon At least in my country, while you don't know the result yet you're still mandated to quarantine and you're treated exactly as if you were positive by the authorities.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@BlueHorizon Also PCR tests aren't a joke, they take a lot of time, they're risky for the operators who have to manipulate potentially infectious samples (they're processed in BSL-3 and 4 labs over here), and require both trained personnel and expensive equipment.
Elessar · 26-30, M
If your area testing facilities are overburdened, that's not an excessive time. I've heard of people who had to wait like 1 month back in March near Milan. Now they process them in 2-3 days max.
Sunnykel76 · 46-50, F
@Elessar that's awful

SW-User
Yea people down here have been waiting a while but the doctor has been saying if it was a yes then you would know quick and if it was a no it may take a while for them to call
Mamapolo2016 · F
It is complete BS. Once you get the results, there is little to no contact tracing in my state.
Here, apparently, the long wait is usually from a drive-through or walk-in testing. If you get a referral to be tested, the results come much faster.

@Mamapolo2016 I had a referral

Sunnykel76 · 46-50, F
@Tminus6453 they best not be
Tminus6453 · M
@Sunnykel76 Maybe they havent told you yet because it IS negative, if it was positive they would have let you know right away?🙂
Sunnykel76 · 46-50, F

BlondilyOld · F
