What do you think?

My daughter and husband do a “date night” once a month to show her how she should be treated. Covid is making ideas limited for this month.

From the way you've described it, the core concept sounds nice but the actual stuff being taught is fairly questionable. Like, it's pretty reasonable to expect your date to dress nicely, but if you select for guys who believe in traditional gender roles that favor women, you risk getting shackled to gender roles that... you know, don't favor women. It's important to learn the difference between being spoken to like a person and being spoken to like a thing to be attained, but the amount of money you'd be saving by getting a guy who pays for the meals isn't significant compared to the value of being respected as a self-reliant human being and stuff.

SurprisePartyRegicide she sees us. We switch on and off. I stay at home because I’m disabled. He works. But I also compete on horses so when I’m out he takes the lead on household tasks and when he’s working I do. I still believe in people treating each other right call me crazy

@Soramarie I believe in treating people right; I just also happen to believe in gender equality.

@BlueVeins as do I do there’s no argument

That sounds so cool. I was never taught how I should have been treated and my mum always ended up with shit partners after my dad and now my dad is with one so I found out the hard way.

Can't say I've ever heard of such a tactic before.

@SW-User it’s a fairly new idea but some parents are doing it now ❤️ Covid just makes it hard. Teaching her how to be treated hopefully curbs dating ass holes lol
SW-User
@Soramarie Or at least the assholes that don't have dating skills, lol.

@SW-User truth lol

It's already limited thinking your daughter gotta be younger than you by at least 18 years, that gives her 7 years of age lol
Soramarie · 26-30, F
@inaccessible its to teach her she shouldn’t date pigs who take advantage. They should dress well, pull out the chair for her, open the car door, pay for the food, smile and laugh with you. And take you home not feeling used

@Soramarie kinda odd but good
Soramarie · 26-30, F
@inaccessible not really your supposed to lead by example for your children.

Picnic is a good idea. Scavenger hunt is another. Cooking a meal or a dessert together is fun. Portraits of the other would be cute and something to keep.
Soramarie · 26-30, F
i think hers would look better 😂😂😂. I love the picnic
