@Andrew7Jackson Best wishes. What kind of cancer do you have? My neighbor has lung cancer from smoking. I have prostate cancer and am currently getting radiation treatments. I have 8 more to go. I won't know if they have worked until July. Right now I feel great.

63 here and considering retirement next year but getting paid and having health insurance is kind of nice. No idea what Ill do with myself while retired but like you say, should try to enjoy a bit of life before the body gives out.

Sorry about the cancer I retired last year at 62 my health is good I am blessed seen to many wait until they were in bad shape and couldnt enjoy themselves. I hope you get better and can enjoy your retirement the way you want!

Keep on going! My experience has been similar, but with non-cancer health issues. I am in pain, but it is "getting well" pain.

The sad story of life. When you are working, nothing happens and then you dream of rest and retirement and all hell breaks loose.

All the best. My wife went through it 12 years ago. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
