I'd assume she's already prescribed Gabapentin ?
If not have her look into that.
Massages, and exercise can really help strengthen and/or rebuild nerves,

There's a topical cream called Voltaren. It's an over-the-counter arthritis pain reliever.
I don't know if it will help but could possibly take the edge off.
I use it for all kinds of aches and pains.
Though Neuropathy isn't like most pains because what the person feels isn't usually something that actually exists, per'se. Rather it's a deterioration of the nerves themselves which causes confused and often extreme electrical impulses to go to the brain's pain center for no reason as the nerves basically die.
I have heard of brain surgeries that place electrodes into the brain that connect to the pain center and have had positive effects in patients with Neuropathy. I have no idea if she'd be a candidate for that or not?
Either way, I'm sorry she's having such a rough time and I hope she finds some relief somehow.

@HikingMan Unfortunately creams don't help but I'll ask if she's tried it. And is it the Spinal stimulator you're thinking of, where they place a tiny stimulator in the back and it relieves pain? ...she's unfortunately not a candidate Bec her sugars are too high. But ty so much for your ideas🌸

@Coralmist No. I’m talking from the experience of my father in law before he died.
Open Brain Surgery using a device to short fuse the pain receptors in the brain.
He was in his early 70s and it worked and made his last 6 years livable.
I wouldn’t ever try to talk garbage on a post such as this.
I wish your sister the best of luck.

@Coralmist it was but his neuropathy was an intense all over type that was complicated by other maladies.
The surgery was done at Laney Clinc - Burlington MA if I’m not mistaken, though it might have been done in Boston MA in conjunction with the Laney Clinic For suppose?
I can’t honestly remember all the details as it was probably over a decade ago.
