My dad had congestive heart failure. He suspected he had it a while before it was official. He lived several months and gradually got weaker. He spent his last month in bed with his memory going and coming. There were times he wasn't sure where he was and forgot that he was dying. One day he turned to me and asked "they don't think I'm going to make it this time do they?" That was a tough moment.

My grandmother had brain cancer and after the operation she was mostly paralyzed to the point of not being able to move or even talk.. 🙁 it’s very sad to see a vibrant and outgoing and talkative person in that state 🙁

@GhostNuclear I believe in medical assisted suicide.
The thing about death is that all deaths are not equal. For instance, if you have a large family you may not even shed a tear when a brother, sister, father, or mother dies. But the loss of a child or a spouse may cause you loads of grief.

Yes. The hardest was losing my mom to dementia.

I’m dealing with a family member who is slowly fading away.
If you don’t me asking, was it cancer that your family members had?
