Went to my heart doctor for results

Well they finally got me rescheduled with my heart doctor and they gave me the test results.

I've been diagnosed with POTS. It really explains alot of my symptoms I've been dealing with over the past year.

I'm just glad to know what it is and we can start treating it. Now of course Joel is having a field day with this, giving me crap because I'm younger than he is and I've been diagnosed with a heart condition.

I had to look that one up. For other people who might wish to know what it is:

"Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a condition that causes a number of symptoms when you transition from lying down to standing up, such as a fast heart rate, dizziness and fatigue. While there’s no cure, several treatments and lifestyle changes can help manage the symptoms of POTS.

Unfortunately, there’s no cure for POTS. Instead, healthcare providers use several strategies to manage the symptoms of POTS. Treatment is highly individualized based on your symptoms and what works best for you.

The main forms of treatment include:

Exercise and physical activity.
Diet and nutrition.
Medical compression stockings can also help push blood up from your legs to reduce POTS symptoms."

I'm so glad you know what is going on now...and it sounds like there are things you can do which might help.

@4meAndyou I am too. At least I know something. I have an appointment with my doctor next week to go over information and he wants to review my meds as well to make sure they aren't making things worse.
