My Great Aunt Hazel had polio. She contracted it as an adult, and spent the last half of her life in a wheelchair.

@jackrabbit10 Yup. Me, too. But polio disappeared from the United States a while back. Maybe 25 years ago. They even announced it in the newspapers. in 1994.

Any child born after 1994 would not be vaccinated for it.
