I've been diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis 3 months ago... And this week my condition flares up again. Does anyone understand this illness better?

Sometimes I feel like nobody understands this chronic auto-immune disease - as it's not very common we meet people who are suffering from SLE.

I don't know about your variety of Lupus, but most are devastating. I had a childhood friend that got it as a teenager. She couldn't be in the sun and had to have an umbrella to be outside. I hope you do have some good days.

@likesnatural yes, I also have sun sensitivity and I normally carry an umbrella with me everywhere I go. My kidneys have been damaged due to lupus and I am worried that if I don’t do anything now, I might need to go for dialyses or transplant (god forbid!). I hope those worst days won’t ever come.

@smileylovesgaming FYI UV light can trigger a lupus flare. That’s why we need to stay away from the sun.😩
