Regarding this Covid situation, what is the real truth ?

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout It's not just facebook. It's twitter and reddit and just about all social media now. Especially if the truth supports conservative viewpoints...it MUST be banned by social media. For that matter, I wouldn't be surprised if this comment is banned by SW. (oooops...)

@NerdyPotato BINGO! yes that is exactly what I am saying. I know a lot of people that were simply told its covid, even when they knew they had bronchitis, or other illness.

@Confined that seems unlikely, but I guess possible in rare cases where symptoms are so severe there is no time to await results, and with hospitals being overwhelmed, doing a test later may be forgotten occasionally.

But for millions of people it was confirmed they have COVID. Those cases alone are a major problem, regardless of whether there are tens, hundred or even thousands of possible misdiagnoses in addition to those.

@NerdyPotato When I was following daily in the Michigan Dept. of Health website there were routinely more people with covid than there were positive tests. (remember people with covid are tested repeatedly too). There were many many who were treated and also those who died who were diagnosed as having covid even before tests were available.

One of the problems was the government incentivized calling any respiratory/circulatory ailment as covid, by guaranteeing payment for services if the treatment was covid related.

Then there were the false positives as was made apparent when all the professional ball players were testing positive and then negative hours later.
