I guess that depends on how long I have to make it last. $100 for the whole month? Rice, some dried beans, some seasonings, and some multivitamins. I'll be miserable, but I'll live.
A week? Drop the multivitamins and I'll pick up a pork loin, a block of cheese, some assorted canned veggies, and whatever fruit I can afford with what very little should be left. Still not happy, but getting better. And if I plan it right, I'll have leftovers to carry into the next week allowing me to slowly diversify over time.
My normal budget would probably be closer to about $25/day. But I could do less if I had to.
