My Nan taught me at a young age, use the back of a heavy knife and tap around the lid, this releases the air and it opens every time.

Well, since I have tendonitis in BOTH wrists, I DO relate...absolutely I do.
This past Friday, I was trying to break down these incredibly thick, strong boxes while wearing an ace bandage on one wrist, and a pre-molded custom brace on the other wrist. I was determined. I worked at it steadily using a dinner knive to try to rip the glued areas...and one of my neighbors came along, grabbed the box...and RIP RIP RIP it was done. It made me feel incredibly decrepit...😂😂😂

I have had a jar of spaghetti sauce actually shatter in my hand when twisting the lid off.
