I have never heard that quote, but i definitely understand it.
The adrenaline rush from combat is impossible to recreate, at least for me, and even though i hated every second of it i still crave it. Its wierd.

To me its kinda the fiction that is manufactured by them in order to continue controlling us.

I have lived the results of that addiction.
