i don't like their Greek yogurt much and I can barely finish a regular container of sour cream
@SirLirkALot I'm not a fan of the greek yogurt either. You can make dips and healthier salad dressing though.

Interesting.
@Zonuss I think it's worth the money for a Costco membership, just for that!

I'm dying of starvation reading about your diet. I would get exhausted chewing enough vegetables to get my daily calories.

@Catastrophe so much work. Yeah, I'm too lazy for all that. But you got the beans in there that's cool. Now make some chili. Yes, with meat and beans. I don't care what Texas says. 😜
@Gibbon haha.... vegetarian chili sounds good rn.

@Catastrophe
IMO ... COSTCO has quality pickings. The only downer there is in fresh produce, bakery and dairy where everything is packages in sizes far beyond the the consumption ability of just one person. Yea, I probably could consume an 18" apple pie in two or three days if really tried, but in general it's best for me to bypass those areas of COSTCO and focus on the seemingly endless options of great frozen and vacuum packed items.
@samueltyler2 I'm not sure about what happens along the distribution trail for fresh produce but I thing there may be some blast or flash freezing of what we think of as fresh produce. When we see consistent, year round pricing for seasonal produce it's probably a good hint that the food spent some time at minus 20C before being restored to "fresh".

@Heartlander interesting, i have noticed thiugh the blackberries get moldy faster if the picked date suggests they are more prone to going bad.
@Heartlander Yeah, I don't find their produce that great in price so I rarely buy produce from there. Their berries used to be a lot better deal. You can always freeze the bread, wraps, pies, etc. I bought a lot of nuts so I'm planning to freeze a lot them.

sounds interesting. i usually use a premade cheese sauce like an alfredo sauce that comes in a jar.
@Penny Alfredo is a constant on my shopping list. Almost as important as coffee and in need of an extra backup in case there's an earthquake :)

I occasionally add sour cream to the alfredo, especially if it's to be baked, or a variety of other things so it's never the same. Last night I included grits along with noodles and meatballs and some chopped up sweet peppers. I wanted to stiffen it up a bits so flipped a coin between mashed potato flakes and grits and the grits won. After an hour in the oven It was great.
