Sometimes I wanna eat junk food and tasty stuff. Instant gratification. Pleasure.

But I know I'm the only one taking care of my heart, so my mind says no thanks.

It was a big revelation to me that being kind to myself means doing things I may not feel like, such as eating healthy and exercising, even on days when it's tough. When I came to that realization, my self esteem instantly improved. I kid you not, I went my whole life wondering how anyone can love themselves, because it didn't even seem possible to me – it all clicked when I found out that doing things that are good for myself is actually what makes me love myself.

I guess that's because if I show myself love, my brain assumes I deserve it. If I treat myself like garbage, my brain assumes I'm garbage. 😅
@Nightwings I'm learning about self care too... I'll remember this.
@Nightwings beautiful, thank you. I'm still ironing out the kinks, but this is a beautiful mindset

@MarbleMarvel Aw thank you. It sounds like you're doing well, literally no one is perfect. 🌻
I don't eat as much junk as i joke about. I truly care about my body and my health and I'm working very hard to get it healthy and strong.
@Bexsy I'm not against something tasty now and then, but indulgence is losing its appeal. I know you're a strong woman and no doubt you have a long healthy life ahead 🖤

Nothing wrong with a little treat now and then.
