You might try something different, like a curry; chile coconut lime; or harrisa/honey sauce.[
@Paddler123 I’m working with what I have today. But that sounds like a good plan next grocery run.

I would prefer sweet and sour I like sweeter and would contrast with the coconut -but teriyaki would work also - so it's really up to which you prefer!

I would go sweet & sour. For me plain teriyaki requires more flavor like peppers, onions or something else strong tasting. Sweet onions would be likely in any case.

I like teriyaki but with the flavours of the rice I think I'd go for the sweet 'n' sour.

I'd be inclined to use soy with the rice and plum with the chicken.

@bijouxbroussard Sorry, I interpreted it as your giving us two options based on what we have.
@EarthGirl Sorry if it wasn’t clear. By "you" I meant general "you" or, actually me. These are the options I have. 😊

@bijouxbroussard I'd choose sweet and sour then.

I have found that I like sweet and sour a lot less nowadays than I did in the past. Personally, I would go with teriyaki.
@DrWatson I’m leaning towards the sweet and sour because I found another ingredient among my groceries—roasted cashews !
🤤

They both are good but I do like Teriyaki.

I would use the teriyaki but I think either would work well.
Either works.
Sweet and sour is a very potent flavour, teriyaki is more subtle.
