Kellogg's CEO Suggests Eating Cereal For Dinner

for families suffering from inflation. Really? I don't buy the stuff, but I've seen the prices at the grocery store. People are paying a lot more today for something with little to no nutritional value. That doesn't sound like a good deal to me.

What do you think about eating breakfast cereal for dinner?

The original Kellogg marketed his corn flakes as a remedy to discourage masturbation.

I'm glad the Kellogg people are still continuing their long tradition of public service. 🙄

@jackjjackson For cereals, maybe at health food stores, will be much more expensive.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
What about items in the cured meats category? @cherokeepatti
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@jackjjackson Oh yes health food stores, some of them have them. I have purchased nitrate free beef bacon and turkey bacon. Not always easy to find. I bought some a couple years ago at Natural Grocers during their annual anniversary sale, and it was good. Needs to be kept frozen if you aren’t going to use it quickly otherwise it will spoil.

Stop buying Kellogs products
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@TexChik Seems like some are if they are advising people to have it for dinner
Shaveit · 61-69, M

Best way to make more diabetics
Degbeme · 70-79, M
The price you pay for one box of cereal you could by a decent size bag of potatoes.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Degbeme Or rice and beans or eggs and toast or biscuits, something with substantial protein in other words.

The dinner of Champions? 😂
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@PatKirby

For dinner, I scarfed down some Wheaties,
Along with my hubs and kid sweeties.
But we SHOULD have declined;
'Twas the sugary kind,
And we SOON had type 2 diabetes.
🙄

@Thinkerbell

I poured Wheaties into a Bowl
They said it was good for my Soul
But this leprechaun Knew
Lucky Charms were good Too
Saying "Eat supper, now where's me Gold?"

At the rainbow's end, of course. 🤭
IM5688 · 61-69, M
Been doing that for years whenever I'm too lazy to cook for myself.
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
I used to love cereal, but even if cash strapped I want vegetables and healthy food. I would rather have less of a good thing than more of crappy item.
@Fungirlmmm oh yeah...good stuff.
PatKirby · M
@Fungirlmmm

Curious, what does that stuff bok choy taste like? I hear it's good for you.
@PatKirby this describes it pretty well

@Adrift Not all breakfast cereals have high sugar content. Got to read the labels. Oh, and by the way, many supposedly healthy fruits have just as much, if not more, sugar than your average bowl of cereal.
Adrift · 61-69, F
@IM5688 Really, didn't know that. Sarcasm.
Since I am pretty well active and aware of what type of fuel I put in my body, you would think I would know that. Huh!
