Kellogg's CEO Suggests Eating Cereal For Dinner

for families suffering from inflation. Really? I don't buy the stuff, but I've seen the prices at the grocery store. People are paying a lot more today for something with little to no nutritional value. That doesn't sound like a good deal to me.

What do you think about eating breakfast cereal for dinner?

The original Kellogg marketed his corn flakes as a remedy to discourage masturbation.

I'm glad the Kellogg people are still continuing their long tradition of public service. 🙄
@Thinkerbell OMG...that's hilarious. Maybe it works 'cause I never ate the stuff.
Is there a similar tale behind Cheerios? @Thinkerbell

@jackjjackson

I don't think so... and I always had my suspicions about the Lone Ranger and Tonto.
Quite well founded. The LR flew his flag somewhat more flamboyantly more than Tonto. @Thinkerbell
@Thinkerbell fascinatingly weird 🤔

@Thinkerbell I wonder if they added a secret ingredient to that cereal such as salt-Peter. Parents were putting it i their teens did back then.
I’ve heard of that stuff but don’t know what it is. What is it please? @cherokeepatti
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@jackjjackson I believe that it is nitrate like they add as a meat preservative to most processed meats like hot dogs, sausages, etc it healthy at all. Have read that some beers have it too
@jackjjackson saltpeter is potassium nitrate. It reduces testosterone in men. Military puts it in MREs.
Is there a healthy substitute available even if more costly? @cherokeepatti @BizSuitStacy

@jackjjackson For cereals, maybe at health food stores, will be much more expensive.
What about items in the cured meats category? @cherokeepatti

@jackjjackson Oh yes health food stores, some of them have them. I have purchased nitrate free beef bacon and turkey bacon. Not always easy to find. I bought some a couple years ago at Natural Grocers during their annual anniversary sale, and it was good. Needs to be kept frozen if you aren’t going to use it quickly otherwise it will spoil.
