Coconut oil is good for the immune system since it contains caprylic acid and lauric acid.

My doctor actually told me NOT to eat coconut oil because it contains so much cholesterol...more than Ghee or clarified butter. However, I do drink coconut milk, and I try to use olive oil or flax seed or peanut oil for stir fries.

@Fantasyproject I measure my oil. For stir fry, about 3 Tblspns. Nothing pops, and nothing is greasy.

@4meAndyou what kind of stir fry do you enjoy making? It's regular fry that pops me, like fried chicken. I like pepper steak though, kinda like stir fry but I don't use oil, I just put a very small amount of water to the seasoned meat and peppers. Would like to make something that'll go with steamed broccoli

I think most people know the difference between butter and margarine. 🤷
Fantasyproject · 26-30, F
@AmbivalentFriability you would think so, yet the amount the amount of people that didn't know was surprising
AmbivalentFriability · 26-30
@Fantasyproject That's kind of disappointing honestly. I guess people just don't think about these things? Or are just a bit dumb. 👀
Fantasyproject · 26-30, F
@AmbivalentFriability I think most people buy what they grew up eating and/or what they can afford

I do because I grew up on real butter. I prefer it. We never buy margarine.
Fantasyproject · 26-30, F
@Spoiledbrat I don't like either but margarine is disgusting

Coconut oil is for the external body, not internal body
Fantasyproject · 26-30, F
@InOtterWords coconut oil can be used internally in small amounts for cooking purposes. I use it internally and externally and don't eat a lot of food that would require me to eat it often anyway
InOtterWords · F
@Fantasyproject really small amounts, it is really really high in saturated fats
Fantasyproject · 26-30, F
@InOtterWords I'm aware of the pros and cons
