If you call yourself 'Christian' do you or would you go to 'Christian' singles events?

Just seen an ad for one that's on tomorrow night in the local area claiming to be all about 'Christian inclusivity'. It's not for me, but a few women I know are single and 'Christian' so might be interested.

Hmmm. The ticketing page already looks to show 'sold out' for both the men's and women's tickets in most of the age categories. That's going to disappoint people.

Do single Christians 'date' differently to non-Christians? Never really asked anyone about that. With 'normal' non-Christian singles events women always out-number men at the ones I've tried out. I've made a few matches, had a couple of proper first dates, but no seconds.

I am Christian but non denominational and my beliefs and interests seem to differ from many Christians. I don't think we'd fit.

If I was single, yes I would go to a Christian dating event. I think it would be a nice way to meet likeminded people.

I'm given to understand that in Christianity sins may be forgiven. I reckon that there's nothing wrong with a little temptation now and again.

@GerOttman Why would 'Christian singles' dating then be any different to 'normal singles' dating? Why are so-called Christians any different to other people, or special, or unique, when it comes to dating?

@butterflybaby75 I suppose the major difference would be the shared values and community. Consider, in a random dating situation we may encounter a dating partner with very different expectations and culture norms.

I dated a jewish girl briefly years ago. We clearly liked each other but it became clear very quickly that we were in completely different cultures. There was no chance for a real long term relationship and we both moved on. I ran into her some years later at a party and met her husband. She married a nice jewish man and appeared quite happy!

Yes I would be glad to go, good place to meet like minded people

I've never been to any events like that. Are they worth going to once to try out?

If I were single, I would go there, but not with high expectations. I am definitely not a conservative or fundamentalist Christian.

Do you have to have a MAGA hat to get in?

@jshm2 I don't think so, but more a way to attract a different type of dynamic. I'm not religious so 'christian dating' makes me think of that eharmony website.

@butterflybaby75 unfortunately, I'm not in the UK. I'm in the US in New Orleans. What part of the UK are you in?
butterflybaby75 · 46-50, F
@SouthernGuy1987 It's Australia not UK.

@butterflybaby75 Oh ok I see. I want to visit Melbourne and Sydney. Where are you from?
