When will we ever get a native American president?

Torsten · 36-40, M
when one is good enough to run the country. Why do people focus so much on race and gender? the person who is most qualified should get that position. Everything else does not matter
Torsten · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire stop living in the past. Trump aint your president but yeah you could find anyone more qualified for the position since You now have a braindead pedophile running the country.
none of this changes what i said though and the fact you got angry over it is just sad. You put way to much value in race and gender. None of that matters with that job position and it should go to the most qualified person.

Charles Curtis, Herbert Hoover’s Vice President, was of Native American descent on his mother’s side. Hoover himself had lived on a reservation as a child, and is the only president to have done so. He wasn’t Native American himself, but he had family who worked for Indian Affairs.
@Dino11 that’s cool. I didn’t know that.
Iwillwait · M
That would be awesome!
chrisCA · M
I imagine it is based on demographics.
It is probable that the United States will have a Hispanic president first.
@chrisCA I’m very surprised we haven’t had a Hispanic president already. Seriously.
Peaceandnamaste · 26-30, F
@DarkHeaven Surprised too
@Peaceandnamaste that could kinda count as Native American if we are including Aztecs, Mayans, and Incas.
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
Ha! Never.

I did speak with a Native American man in my travels though that said power is corrupting his community too.
ScarletWitch · 26-30, F
Dont look at me lol
MasterLee · 56-60, M
We are all born here therefore native
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
@MasterLee on land we stole and murdered for
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@AlchemyFox as they did before us...
RedBaron · M
Why does it matter?
chrisCA · M
@RedBaron Some of you just don't get it.
RedBaron · M
@chrisCA No, you don’t get that leaders shouldn’t be selected based on ethnic or racial quotas and identity politics.
One that says they are? Or one that actually is? 😂
Commander and Chief.

Ask Liz Warren
How would we know if one was running? With all of the political correctness now no one is allowed to say "Indian" anymore........or show a picture of one even.
chrisCA · M
@anythingoes477 I did not know they were from India.
@Spoiledbrat hi. hope you are well. 😊
I’m surprised that we haven’t already.

Between want, like and happen there's a long journey alright. Somehow I don't like it's on like yet
Funlov · M
Never happen i would say but it might they put trump in so never say never
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
I'd just be happy with a good one, race doesn't matter
akindheart · 61-69, F
i would settle for a country at peace.
SarithBorn · 18-21, M
That would be so cool 😎
DDonde · 31-35, M
Maybe? Who knows what the future holds
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
Ultimately I'm a policy person. They show me a good progressive policy plan and they'll likely get my vote. I'm certainly supportive of some attempting it.
MonaMartinez86 · 36-40, F

I just want a good and decent president...no need to push race or nationality if the person is honest and has integrity
chrisCA · M
@SW-User Maybe not "push", but encourage those to enter politics, in a system that has been dominated by White men with money and connections.
