If you dont own cellphone, why does your employer want to force you to get one?

I just started working for this company a back in May. They knew from day one that I don't have cellphone and an e-mail.

I refuse to cave in and I know that they can't discriminate against me for not having them. I love agalog technology and I want to be a pain in their ass.

The Amish work there and they get away with it. Why can't I?

My company is showing discrimination towards me. Because I refuse cellphones and emails, but let the Amish get away with it.

(So I lied about the e-mail. I never check it. I haven't check it like a few years or more. I think e-mails are stupid)

Good for you. If you can do without one then I don’t think society should force you. Not all technology has been an improvement. I miss the days when people didn’t expect to have access to you for contact 24/7.

One of the places I worked the manager was trying to tell me off for not answer my phone. (This is your final warning, you will be dismissed if you don't, blah, blah) In my defence. They had a automated phone system that sent out 60 calls a day on average. I was on Night Shift. It was one of the many reasons I quit that place.
