You Ever Experience Racism?

Being half Korean/white, have been the brunt of jokes growing up. Funny how Republicans pretend like racism doesn’t exist In ‘Merica. What about you?
I’m white conservative straight male..
I’m literally hitler.. 🤔
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout No, but you are an asshat.
I’ll consider the source.. and brush it off..

everyone experiences some form of racism/discrimination/prejudice; funny how democrats think it can all simply be turned off...
MedfordJay · 22-25, M
@wildbill83 White conservatives are naturally the oppressors of other races. Sorry. Just sayin’.

@MedfordJay You have a single digit IQ. Just sayin'

I have never experienced racism but I have witnessed it. I was not a silent bystander.
@JaggedLittlePill I totally believe that, my friend ! 🤗

While going to school my grandmother's race (native north american) was known and I was called injun by some of my classmates. My surname is German and so I was sometimes called a Kraut. My mother came from Wales and so I was sometimes called a limey. However that was just playground banter. I never experienced racism except the official kind. The governments of Canada are racists.

Yeah it's happened to me. I got made fun of growing up. People would see my name and say i don't look like my name. I didn't get it as bad as my mom did because i look pretty damn white but ive experienced it unfortunately
candycane · 31-35, F
Yes almost every day. I'm looked at like I'm not supposed to be here
Slade · 56-60, M
@candycane on what basis
candycane · 31-35, F
@Slade asian
Slade · 56-60, M
@candycane Are there others there too? It can be a huge problem in NYC as they are getting assaulted non-stop. Perps are almost always black.

Our idiot ex mayor said it was all white supremacy

Just a few times, when I lived in Lansing, Michigan. I am very white, and my hair was blonde at that time, so I was a single blonde Caucasian woman who bought a house near a predominantly black area.

I lived two right turns off of Martin Luther King drive, shopped locally, and it was at the McDonald's on Martin Luther King drive that I was shocked to discover race hatred because I was white. I used to order chocolate milk to put in my coffee, and I am not even going to repeat now what the girl at the window said to me.
Oh, yes. Both the low-key and the in your face kind.
MedfordJay · 22-25, M
@bijouxbroussard Yeah. Understand. Most of my friends are blacks. I understand them and relate to them more. People don’t pick on groups.
MrBrownstone · 41-45, M
Everyone is made fun of.

people don't accept me as a slightly mutated human-canine chimera. They think it's sick and that zoo love is wrong, and so forth.

soo.. whatever that is, I guess. Persecution? yeah.. that.
Worst I ever experienced was when this Mexican working at Taco Bell saw me approach the counter, but pretended not to, choosing instead to serve two Mexicans who came in behind me.
TheSunisout · 56-60, M
So as a white man going to Korea would I be treated exactly the same as a Korean? just asking.
uncalled4 · 51-55, M
Yup. I think everybody will at some point. It's difficult to argue with a feeble mind, especially one that just watched cable news....and maybe not even the one you're thinking of. And no, I am not belittling anyone else's experience.

Furthermore, it's not that some people deny racism exists as much as THEY may not feel ill toward a particular group and don't know people who do; it's invisible to them. That doesn't mean it's not there.
uncalled4 · 51-55, M
@Slade Interesting. I was only there once, though.
Slade · 56-60, M
@uncalled4 it's a dump. We had a bachelor party there which degenerated into a giant brawl. I got hit with a chain while playing peacemaker
uncalled4 · 51-55, M
@Slade Oof. I played over at Infinity Hall with my band, so I can't say I got the lay of the land.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
Oh yeah. All the time in school.
I went to a very racist evangelical school and I'm half Mexican.
