You Ever Experience Racism?

everyone experiences some form of racism/discrimination/prejudice; funny how democrats think it can all simply be turned off...

I’m a middle aged white lady and work customer service in America and I can tell you from everyone I have talked to that racism is much worse in America than anywhere else, especially in the South. And black people here are extremely racist towards white people. The hatred is so sad. You can’t even be friendly to someone without them taking everything you say wrong and calling you a racist. I’ve gotten to where I don’t even talk to people anymore

I am white and experienced Racism and discrimination for sure. I think most do at some point.

While going to school my grandmother's race (native north american) was known and I was called injun by some of my classmates. My surname is German and so I was sometimes called a Kraut. My mother came from Wales and so I was sometimes called a limey. However that was just playground banter. I never experienced racism except the official kind. The governments of Canada are racists.

I have never experienced racism but I have witnessed it. I was not a silent bystander.

Yeah it's happened to me. I got made fun of growing up. People would see my name and say i don't look like my name. I didn't get it as bad as my mom did because i look pretty damn white but ive experienced it unfortunately

Just a few times, when I lived in Lansing, Michigan. I am very white, and my hair was blonde at that time, so I was a single blonde Caucasian woman who bought a house near a predominantly black area.

I lived two right turns off of Martin Luther King drive, shopped locally, and it was at the McDonald's on Martin Luther King drive that I was shocked to discover race hatred because I was white. I used to order chocolate milk to put in my coffee, and I am not even going to repeat now what the girl at the window said to me.

Yes i have. Im a white man who was refused to be served in east L.A. because they didnt serve whites in a little restaurant. My future mother in law was so embarrassed. There was someone having car trouble so i jumped out to help him push his car. Turned out to be the next door neighbor of my then girlfriend. He threw the contents of his trashcan into her back yard when he saw me there. I married her and its been 18 years and counting.

Yes I have seen it in action. I used to work for a chiropractor in NYC and I was interviewing for my replacement as I was moving. The doctor said to go through the resumes and remove any names that sounded "black." I was like, I'm sorry what?! That was insane. I left without helping bring on the new hire.

Everyone is made fun of.

people don't accept me as a slightly mutated human-canine chimera. They think it's sick and that zoo love is wrong, and so forth.

So, your post is a complaint about racism and you immediately categorize an entire group, Republicans?

Do you see that that makes no sense whatsoever?

Yup. I think everybody will at some point. It's difficult to argue with a feeble mind, especially one that just watched cable news....and maybe not even the one you're thinking of. And no, I am not belittling anyone else's experience.

Furthermore, it's not that some people deny racism exists as much as THEY may not feel ill toward a particular group and don't know people who do; it's invisible to them. That doesn't mean it's not there.

So as a white man going to Korea would I be treated exactly the same as a Korean? just asking.

Of course.

Worst I ever experienced was when this Mexican working at Taco Bell saw me approach the counter, but pretended not to, choosing instead to serve two Mexicans who came in behind me.
