This is a challenge for all sane good people on here to at least say someone’s wrong when someone posts about “Parasitic Jews” or “Lazy Blacks” or “Mexicans are rapists and criminals”. No need for an argument just don’t let it slide anymore. The admins here seem to leave that garbage up.
LordShadowfire · 46-50 Best Comment
The admins here like it. If you report people for posting racist shit, they force you to block those people so you can't keep reporting their racist shit. That way, the admins don't have to do any fucking work.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@iamonfire696 I had an account there but the disorganization and speed were not something I was used to so I didn't bother. Some point later I logged in and it was locked, then closed. There were several pages explaining about privacy and legal issues.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@CestManan I was active there but seriously didn’t pay attention to all the cliques and stuff like that
CestManan · 46-50, F
@LordShadowfire I understand that. I am not a fan of the block feature in the least. Like reading a book with missing pages.

I have always said that this site has way too many tools that prevents people from even interacting. Block, forced block, mute, friends only posts, this algorithm. Fuckin nightmare.

BlueVeins · 22-25
No, the people who say this kind of shit are generally beyond the capacity to convince or deter, and the sheer volume of it is such that no one can be faulted for not wanting to engage.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@JonLosAngeles66 Some, but not much. People don't usually embrace racism because they view it as popular or anything. If you wanna act, it's probably best to go all-in and try to make an ass of them.
@BlueVeins but if it’s not identified as racists until you confront it
Chickie · F
@JonLosAngeles66
they give some bullshit pseudo-intelligent reply, that kinda gives them the rhetorical upper-hand
You're some of the most argumentative users on her, care to elaborate what you mean here because trying to get a "rise" out of shit humans?
People don't usually embrace racism
What???.. .
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
The only thing evil needs is for good people to not stand up.
Soph03 · 18-21, F
What shocks me is the number of people who said no
Gangstress · 41-45, F
@Soph03 whenever i have had racist abuse in public places rarely people do anything. And that's the real fact of it. They just sit and watch
robb65 · 56-60, M
There are people you can help, there are people you can't. Pointing out a problem is one thing, but at least one seemed to be saying the facts didn't matter.

I'm not sure how well the report button works here but I did consider for a moment pressing it. I can think of only one time I've used it here when a particular hateful response was directed at a particular person by name. Whether or not anything was done I never knew. On most sites the report button works like a thermostat on the office wall that isn't actually connected to anything. It's there so people can feel like they did something, and maybe you get a message that the admins took action about something you reported at some point in the past, Probably sending you the acknowledgement that they saw the report is as far as it actually went.
@robb65 I’m guessing you’re right there. At least saying “That’s just plain wrong” is seen by others.
robb65 · 56-60, M
@JonLosAngeles66 At least we gained some insight into the kind of people who hang out here.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Not really. I mean if you want to call attention to it, go ahead.

But what are you worried about? What do you think would happen if we all chose to ignore such things as pointless provocations that we don't take seriously?
@LamontCranston aren’t some things common sense anymore? If someone uses the N word with me I’m gonna say something. I’m not sure how that’s controversial at all.
SW-User
@LamontCranston Exactly.
sally1981 · 41-45, F
@LamontCranston Good reply.Sally
Gangstress · 41-45, F
I hate generalisations.
But i think online its difficult.
Most people are here just to argue.
In real life. Id say something. On here . Not my circus.
Having brown skin you encounter micro aggressions often in real life. So there's little point in trying to defeat it online. real life matters, they are just words online sometimes.
SW-User
I'm not going to change someone's views by saying anything to their hate speech. I see no point in saying something. I don't become complicit to it. All sorts of people exist in the world.
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
I've actually seen very little of this. Maybe all the right people have me blocked. Or all the wrong ones.
@TheLordOfHell you’re lucky.
@TheLordOfHell check out the response below
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
I always report it, often speak up to the poster, and then frequently mute or block the individual. People who post that kind of content don't deserve the company of civilized adults.
@Ferise1 another witty retort!
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
@Ferise1 OK, Karen.
@Harmonium1923 Mary please.
Well, I always report the post immediately.
And I don't always fight back on the comments. It's hard to fight every single idiot.
Anotherlifeform · 100+, F
I don’t believe we have any control over it and we only fuel the argument for both sides when we supposedly “stand up” to it. Creating more friction. More reason for those that have no understanding of nature and emotions to fire off. Society as we know it needs to collapse. We all need to tumble into the rubble and then we’ll see what’s really important. Those of us that make it.

@Ferise1 Everyone thinks they are right, it’s sad. Perhaps they shoot you too.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
Subtle ridicule has always been my go-to. If they don’t get it, all the better.
plungesponge · 41-45, M
Yes and no. I think the concept behind freedom of speech is that even the worst ideas should be out in the open, so they can be dismantled by decent people, but that also doesn't mean every single bad idea is to be challenged on sight, rather the majority checks for the ideas which are gaining momentum or likely to incite violence as the most important ones to address
pdockal · 56-60, M
Who gets to decide .... is it based on religion, race, orientation, political views , etc ?
Does free speech exist ?
If you Believe in free speech you have to take the bad with the good
Doesn’t it go both ways? I think little or no response to a bigoted comment is perceived as condoning it.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@JonLosAngeles66 Hm I don't agree. Some people clearly get off on upsetting other people for attention. You run the risk of encouraging them with your zero tolerance policy.
pdockal · 56-60, M
@JonLosAngeles66
Your entitled to your opinion
But if NOBODY engaged or commented they would have no audience
SW-User
So what if they do say any of those things? Does it actually harm you or anyone else on here? Most of the time those kind of people are just trolls, and even when they're not I still don't know why you would take it seriously.
suzette · 46-50, F
No, they're either ignorant or doing so to get a rise out of others. Saying something won't automatically make them change their minds about it, they know it's unacceptable.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
still waiting on that gay member of congress to share his undeniable proof
@MarineBob he who smelt it dealt it. My most homophobic friend ended up being gay. You seem a little too into into the subject of man love.
Gangstress · 41-45, F
@JonLosAngeles66 hes one of those secret ones.
SW-User
No not going to fight every creep that comes along Murka is teeming over with them.
Chickie · F
This post reminds me of the user [redacted]Proud and [redacted]Wolf. The first one was very racist against blacks and when I asked him he admitted that he doesn't like black people, it took SW 2 or 3 years to ban his ass. The Wolf guy openly admitted to being a white nationalist/supremacist he even had pictures on his profile of people doing the 'hail Hitler's sign. It took a minute for him to be get banned and the last one was liked by some people.

I reported these people and brought their attention to the admins and they didn't do anything until enough people reported them both. I think that [redacted] guy is also a supremacist he may be tamed now but he wasn't at first.

Also, I saw a trash post by a user, who asked if it was okay to use the the N word and two yeehaw redneck motherfuckers and other users where pandering to her and saying yes because they think all black people use the n word. I don't, it's history is disturbing and ugly no one should use that word. Sorry it's long.
@Chickie I’m glad you get it
Chickie · F
@JonLosAngeles66 I'm going to edit now because I don't want their trash fanbase flagging me.

Thanks for BC!

I definitely flag it. I’m less likely to get into a battle over it online because there’s the troll factor; some people post such things to upset people and their satisfaction comes when they know they’ve done that and I don’t come here to fight with people.

Many times I’ve seen this stuff removed and its authors banned, so the moderators will (eventually) moderate.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
I report and say something to the poster. I see lots of deleted replies so I am sure some of them are the racists I have brought to task.
@iamonfire696 Irrationalists of all kinds, one hopes.
