It's harmless to you. Yet to other spiders daddy long legs are some of the most dangerous spiders in the world.

They simply can't bite anything large. They can't even hurt a mouse.

@DeWayfarer It's really the notion they could possibly crawl on my face while I'm sleeping. Years ago, I awoke to a stinkbug of all things, on my nose!! That , I never forgot, and not in a good way lol.

So if I see any bug close by before I go to sleep, it's like I get this slight anxiety. But the good news is that most Daddy long legs stay in one spot for quite a while. The last one stayed in the ceiling corner for FIVE months!!!

@Coralmist yeap! The female's stay for life. It's the males that travel and are a lot smaller.
@Coralmist I once accidentally stepped on a box elder in my apartment back in 2012, when I got home from work my apartment was invaded by hundreds of them, it took me about a month to get rid of them with a dishsoap solution using a spray bottle, it killed them within ten seconds without them causing a stink to attract other bugs.

It's okay. He's probably just passing through.

@Nitedoc The last one I saw above my bed, on ceiling, was there like five months!!!

They are very sweet. You can pick them up and put them in your plants or take them outside. Please don’t hurt them.

They are not spiders

@beermeplease It's a small spider competing with a big Cletus spider competing to get a fly out of a swimming pool.
