To my young earth peeps: If Dinosaurs existed alongside man in the bible, how come we don't hear about them?

There are countless references to goats and donkeys and lions and vultures but no dinosaurs.
Surely animals as awe-inspiring and titanic as Dinosaurs would have attracted a lot of attention. I mean, who's going to talk about the strength of a lion when T. rex is roaming the land?

And i know some of you are just itching to respond with Leviathan and Behemoth but even if we're supposing those were describing real animals rather than one-off elemental forces of earth and water, the descriptions simply do not correlate to dinosaurs.

The pictorial language expressed in Genesis, I actually understand, and the themes it is portraying.
When it was written dynosaurs had not been discovered, otherwise I suspect they would have popped a few in.

Had Genesis been written today, no doubt it would started with fourteen pages of vector calculus, some references to Quantum Electrodynamics , and a bit of General Relativity thrown in. Not accessible to most of us, and probable wrong.

Stick to the themes it paints.

Right...so is a Muslim. In fact i would suggest the average practicing Muslim prays a lot more often....and yet their persistence doesn't seem to have got them to think Jesus is divine.

My intention is not to convince you that your belief in god is wrong but rather to teach you that the arguments your are presenting as evidence or instruction are not reliable or internally consistent.

I have been struggling with creationists for years about this subject. The ultra orthodox believe that the Bible is immutable and that one can not debate it with science. If you pick up a stone that can be dated back a million years, or a fossil which can be dated tens of thousands of years before the date creationists claim was the creation of the world, a true believer will say that when God created that rock, or fossil, etc., it was already aged that many years.

Well that's fair because many creationists struggle with the years😜

Yeah i get what you're saying. To someone for whom evidence is subordinate to their interpretation of the bible, no amount of evidence is sufficient to change their mind.

I have read about nepthilium but never dinosaurs . Sorry cant spell😊
@tobynshorty Yeah if we're so excited about big humans, why do animals that weigh more than a herd of elephants not get a mention?!

Job 40:15-34 job 41 1-34
@gregloa

Sorry but Leviathan and Behemoth are one-off forces of nature and neither description is that of any known dinosaur.
This misunderstands both scripture and dinosaurs.

Old argument. Bad argument.
