So if God created all the animals over the course of a few days, why doesn't the bible mention dinosaurs?
And slow your roll those of you who are already about tell me about Leviathan and Behemoth. There are very good arguments why those are not dinosaurs and very few good arguments that they are dinosaurs. More importantly, they are mentioned as one offs. Single entities while dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes covered the planet.
If men lived alongside dinosaurs (at least until the flood) why are these awe-inspiring beasts not mentioned at all while goats and sheep and vultures and lions get mentioned all the damn time?
It's not well known but god transported Moses back in time where he stepped on a butterfly and created an alternate timeline that had dinosaurs in it. It happened after the book of creation was written in the present timeline. the two timelines merged with the coming of the savior who erased original sin and healed the rift in time! so you know, thank god for that...
Well, there’s an obvious explanation. All of those fossils and and even the disciplines which date them and study them are all part of a master plan…to fool you, to test you.
All the dinosaurs just happened to steer clear of the Near Eastern region where Biblical events took place.
That is the only explanation I could come up with that accepts the premise that men lived alongside dinosaurs. Every piece of evidence suggests that they did not.
@Entwistle No kind sir. Dinosaurs evolved in the 1960s…and they evolved quite differently! Consider the dinosaurs of the Japanese islands (as documented in several memorable films from the sixties); very stiff, ponderous creatures. From those majestic creatures to the dinosaurs depicted in that formidable documentary “Jurassic Park” in the 1990s we have a stunningly swift evolutionary transformation. Life is miraculous.
@SW-User According to the christian narrative, the bible is the word of their omniscient god so he must have wriiten or, at the very least, dictated it. It is inconceivable that an omniscient god would have been unaware of dinosaurs, or anything at all for that matter.
But he bible is not just the new testament. The old testament is the many times larger than the new and ostensibly covers thousands of years of history so the ignorance of the Apostles would not account for the lack of mention of dinosaurs.
As for the idea that they wouldn't have been aware of dinosaurs...well that could be true if indeed all the dinosaurs died in the flood but if not, dinosaurs were absolutely everywhere and there were a lot of different kinds of them. That would be like a modern person not being aware that birds are around.
