Yes, they are on television, late at night, after the lesbian porn.

No they are not, not since 1936 that is. In France however, public executions were indeed a spectator sport up until 1978 when the French guillotine was used for the last time in a public setting.

That last one was of particular interest to me because my grandmother from Norway, just happened to be in France with her close friend while on vacation at the time.

They just happened to stumble upon the event in the "town square" about 20 minutes before the execution was about to begin and somebody there told her what was about to take place.

So, her and her friend hung around and were able to get within about 30 feet of the guillotine which is where the public viewing gallery had been set up, where she then video-taped the whole thing from start to finish with her Cannon Camcorder and then brought it home with her as a little souvenir of French culture!

They were back in the early 1900s. There are photographs of big crowds watching hangings in the town square.

Maybe all the pro-wrestling and football wasn't enough so we had to kick it up a notch?

no, but given that the recidivism rate averages 40-50%, it oughta be...

stick them on an island and have them kill each other like the hunger games, might actually deter crime...
@wildbill83 id pay a subscription to that .. *looks at ESPN*
