The refugee population of Iran (prior to the start of the Trump War) was approx 1.1 million (mainly from Afghanistan) compared to approx 0.9 million in the USA (source: UNHCR report).

Migration flows to the USA as a proportion of the population are very small compared to entries to Turkey, Colombia, Pakistan, Uganda, Iran, Lebanon, or even European countries such as Germany and Sweden.

Countries who provoke mass migration by bombing civilian populations should take some responsibility for sorting out the resulting mess, in my humble opinion.
@TradEmily absolutely. Like green energy and public transportation that's non lethal - makes absolutely no sense! Not for you. Doesn't make sense! Why, whatever would I even mean talking about the ongoing pattern of genocide fueling the US population. What genocide of today could even be related? Not sees not see the same things every day.
TradEmily · 26-30, F
@Roundandroundwego I would definitely recommend that public transportation be non-lethal...
@TradEmily it's not something Americans are planning for, through politics. Like there's no food production plans, no housing or community development plans,- like a genocide, but accepted.

Since America became America over 200 years ago and began advertising for immigrants to come to the country for freedom, equality, land, opportunity, that has been the attraction for over 200 years.

Civil Rights Acts slightly opened the way to people of color, yet mostly failed to benefit from freedom, equality, land, and opportunities, which grew a little year by year.

America gained notoriety of being the strongest country in the world, the richest country in the world, the most liberal country in the world, as decades passed that same advertising from 200 years ago still stood until Trump. Well America is full over 300 million people and millions are still at, slightly above or below poverty and still searching for equality.
That’s right! Many are jealous and many just full of hate. I hope they get well soon hun! 🇺🇸

I was going to respond but I read your username.

I think you should stick to making sandwiches.

And it is just a response.

@Miram Why are you liberal women always so miserable?
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
Actually, many people don't want to move to the U.S. The daily quality of life for the average person is much higher in other countries.
swirlie · 31-35, F
@TradEmily
But you said..
other Western historically Christian countries... are the only ones that are good to live in for the average person

So then, what point are you trying to make here?
TradEmily · 26-30, F
@swirlie that the only countries people would be happy to live in had until recently Christian centred civil societies
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
@TradEmily Japan is one of the highest quality of life countries. Malaysia is another. The European countries are secular. Not one is a Christian theocracy.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
Greed. Or desperation, people want a better life, but that doesn't mean the US is a good force in the world. Rome was brutal and some people wanted to become Romans, but that did not make Rome good.
TradEmily · 26-30, F
@JimboSaturn you could say it made Rome and the US the best places to live.

It's not evil. Far from it. You need seperate the people from the leadership. That last is lacking

And by the way, not everyone wants to move to the US. Most people in Western democracies prefer their own countries.

Emily, would you like to DM? :)
twistedrope · 26-30, M
Well... Wages. US manufacturing and jobs pretty good. Thats about it. If Mexico had good wages, a lot more people would live there. The govt might even have the money to properly keep their citizens safe...
@twistedrope then why do majority of retirees move to Mexico to live
twistedrope · 26-30, M
@Monalisasmith86 Lower cost of expenses after making money in usa? No idea as I've never heard the statistic or anyone moving to mexico above the age of 60. Would seem odd if it were true as mexoco is a less safe country.

I only answered the question, not sure why the counter question.

and we are expected to solve sooooo many crisis' others begin
Waveney · M
@1490wayb Not doing a good job, are you? At the moment, it's up to the world to resolve all the crises YOU are causing.
swirlie · 31-35, F
@1490wayb
That's the price you pay to be called an "American".
You're thinking about the twentieth century. People flee democracy and hide from their past crimes, in America in the twentieth century. Today they flee the USA.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Because when countries try to do things the right way and take care of their citizens, the CIA overthrows the government and sends in American companies to steal all their resources.

They then go to the US because that's where all the money went.
swirlie · 31-35, F
@CountScrofula
Brilliant! I love this answer!
BohoBabe · M
Life in America is much better than life in most other countries. However, the things America does to other countries are pretty damn evil. Iran isn't funding genocides or starting wars.

@BohoBabe well I know where I'd prefer to live... don't you?
BohoBabe · M
@TradEmily Of course. Like I said, life in America is better, because most of the bad things America does are done to other countries. Though that does cause blowback, like 9/11.
Tracos · 56-60, M
why do people still think bullies are cool

Not now they don’t .

A lot of racists will complain that we don't get more white immigrants. Well, most white people live in western countries, and those countries have a higher living standard than America. Same goes for why we don't get many immigrants from Japan or South Korea.
swirlie · 31-35, F
I wouldn't live in the USA even if it became the last English-speaking country on earth. 🇨🇦
