Does Trump really expect international travellers to put up a up-to-$15k 'bond' when they apply for a visa to visit the USA?

If it really does happen, it'll be the end of international tourism to the USA.

Could this be yet another step in Trump's desire to isolate the USA from the world and make it into North American Korea?

I have some good long-time friends in the US and would love to visit them with my 8 y/o daughter, but to be treated like a criminal just because I'm not a US citizen is enough to make me never want to go there.

The overthrow Trump movement asks all foreign nations to boycott the U.S. for tourism until Trump is driven from office. We need to apply all the pressure we can on Trump and the Republicans. After Trump is gone hopefully America will become a decent place to visit.

@badminton Asking that of nations at any official level would be tantamount to asking their interference in the USA's internal party-politics.

They, or most of them, will refuse that.

It would have to be for the individual to choose personally; and most tourists would not want to be part of their host's domestic squabbles, though might be deterred by American policies affecting international travel.

@ArishMell You're right. I meant to say individuals, not nations.
