Does Trump really expect international travellers to put up a up-to-$15k 'bond' when they apply for a visa to visit the USA?

If it really does happen, it'll be the end of international tourism to the USA.

Could this be yet another step in Trump's desire to isolate the USA from the world and make it into North American Korea?

I have some good long-time friends in the US and would love to visit them with my 8 y/o daughter, but to be treated like a criminal just because I'm not a US citizen is enough to make me never want to go there.

Could that be the start of a truly isolationist and restrictive regime as we see in Russia, China and Iran? It may seem far-fetched, but it all starts with a single step towards that thinking. Keeping out foreigners who may bring in ideas which they don't want their population to know is what their restriction is all about.

It's not far-fetched... it's the goal. You can watch it happening right now in real-time - and the americans are sleep-walking their way into it.
